We always hear, “follow your heart”, “he/she has my heart”,...” God knows my heart”, after doing something that isn’t pleasing to God 😏. Is your heart trustworthy? If you follow your heart, will it truly lead you to what God has for you? Let‘s see what our Father, who created our heart says!
Jeremiah 17:9 reads “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately sick; who can understand it“?
As I was led to this scripture I said hmm Holy Spirit reveals to me what this means! We can’t trust our heart nor can it lead us to make decisions and the desires of our hearts aren’t to be sought after because the heart is sick and we don’t understand it. How can people do things from their heart and say “I have a good heart” How so, it’s deceitful! There is good news always in Christ, right?
In Psalm 51:10 “Create in me a clean Heart, Oh God, renew a loyal spirit within me“
So you see, don’t allow your sick deceitful heart lead you in making decisions! Your heart needs to be cleansed daily! This let us rest in knowing that we can truly relyand trust solely in Holy Spirit to lead us!
